Paraffin Wax HELP!!

I am making Buckeyes (peanut butter ball covered with chocolate). I am supposed to put paraffin wax in the chocolate. However, the wax is labelled for candles and canning. Can I use it in candy making? I am having a breakdown!! The peanut butter part has to be refrigerated an hour. Will come back to check then!TIA

yes susan, you can use the wax in your chocolate. my mother has been making buckeyes ever since i can remember and has always used the wax.

Thank you Greta for the fast reply. I was having a real meltdown, no pun intended. I am going back downstairs to get the chocolate ready. I would be interested in your mom's almond recipe! Sounds delightful. Thanks Again for the prompt reply!!

my mom just used her buckeye recipe and substituted the almond butter for the peanut butter (same quantity).
