Sandydee,

Not a silly question. You do put only the dry tea in the mix. So if you are using the loose tea just put 3 tbs and if you are using the bags, just cut them open and add to dough. I have my husband and I hooked on these. They are great. Enjoy.

http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/redface.gif I have a very embarassing question. In the Chai Spice Biscotti recipe it says 1 tablespoon loose Chai spice tea or orange spice tea ( or 3 tea bags). But it doesn't say to steap it in water. You don't put the dry tea into the mix do you? If you steap it how much of the liquid do you use in the dough? I was all prepared to make these but I am very confused by this. Please help. Like I said it's a silly question but I would appreciate the answer just the same. Merry Christmas everyone.

Thank you for your help, Linda. I can't wait to try these. I made the Ginger ones and the Snickerdoodle (both excellent) will have to try the Chai ones soon. I appreciate the help. Happy New Year.

I tried these this week--we really liked them. I did lighten them just a bit by subbing 1/2 cup splenda(and adding 1/2 teaspoon baking soda) and using 1/2 cup egg substitute to replace 2 of the 3 eggs. And they still turned out good--. I did the second baking for the time given, but would do it a bit longer another time since we like crunchy biscotti.
