I made these last night and they were fabulous! The only changes I made were that I doubled the amount of roasted red pepper in the mayo. Since I halved the recipe that left me with half of a roasted red pepper. So I took the leftover red pepper and put it on top of the portobello along with the lettuce & tomato.
YUMMY, YUMMY, YUMMY and easy clean up to boot. :D
I will be making this again for sure.

I made this last night for dinner, and agree it was really tasty. Aside from the time it takes to marinate the mushrooms, it's a very quick and easy recipe. I followed sararosalie's suggestion and put the remaining roasted red pepper in the sandwich. Great idea! I think you could even marinate the mushrooms longer---say, prepare the marinade in the morning, then grill the mushrooms after work. This recipe is a keeper.

I've got the mushrooms marinating as I write this! I love the portobella burgers from 2001 (I think that was the year) but the marinade for these was less complicated. I didn't see the red pepper  so I am contemplating subbing some pesto instead.
As a side I'll be steaming some zucchini and tossing it with pumpkin seed pesto and asiago cheese. Yummy!

We had our cookout today and I did just the portobella part (in the marinade, then on the grill) for me, my grandmother, and my mom. We loved these and will definitely keep this recipe on hand when we get more beautiful mushrooms.

I made these for DW the other night. I cheated and used bottled roasted red bell pepper. I also used a different kind of bun. We still thought it was a real keeper. Maybe next time, if I'm not feeling too lazy, I'll roast my own pepper!

This was my first time cooking making a "mushroom" burger and was it ever good! Had this for lunch yesterday and loved it. I marinated the portobella for about 3-4 hours. This was so easy and so good!

I sorta made these. I marinated the mushrooms as the recipe called for and the DH grilled them along side some Halloumi cheese. We put the cheese in the cap and served it along side steaks. YUM!! My first experience with the cheese and we loved it.
