I know I read this information before, but now that I need it I can't find it.
What do I do if I want to print out part of a thread (say a posted recipe) but not the whole page. Help! thanks!!

Tiger, there are a couple of different ways of doing it. So as not to be redundant, check out these threads: http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/000960.html http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/001313.html http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/002912.html

As far as I know, you can do it 2 ways:
1) you can highlight the text you want, right click with your mouse, choose copy, open up a word processing software, right click again and choose paste, or
2) if everything you want to copy is on your screen at once, you can hold down on the "Alt" and "Print Scrn" buttons at the same time, go to the word processing software and again right click and choose paste. I think the "Ctrl" or "Shift" with the "Print Scrn" button might also work. I used the "shift" at work, but use "Alt" at home.
Good luck.

Select (highlight) what you want to print. Go to File/Print. When the print window comes up, go to the section where you choose the pages to print. There should be a "selection" option. That's the one you want. Then print.

Alas, alas, Connie and Norma, we've discovered in the past that some of us don't get the "selection" option on the print menu; the highlighting just doesn't seem to "take" as a selection for some software. It seems to be a browser problem. See the threads that Ralph has so helpfully provided.

Woefully,
