Well, Leeanne and I were having sort of our "own" discussion under the New Years Goals topic, and I thought I would start it as a new topic so everyone could share!

Leeanne: my FAVORITE place to eat here is the Bound'ry, it's trendy, fusion cuisine. We probably go there at least once a week. Fun if you can avoid the cheesy music industry scene! For really upscale dining, I think Belle Meade Brasserie is tops. There are also a couple new resturants you must try: Cafe Nonna and Sasso, both chef-owned and wonderful. I am so impressed by the restaurant selection here--I lived in Charlotte the year between college and law school and found that here was a serious shortage of restaurants compared to here.

P.S. 2nd Ave. has actually gone downhill--it's mostly tourist-y bars and clubs now. Unless you like to eat at Hooters!!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I love the Boundry too. I haven't been there since it opened though. I will definitely look for Cafe Nonna & Sasso. (what part of town/street are they in/on?)
I can see downtown being touristy for sure.
Some old stand-by's for me are Sunset Grill, Arthurs (pretty upsacle for an average night out!), & F. Scott's. Of course, the only one I've visited in the last year is F. Scott's.

Cafe Nonna is on Murphy Road, near McCabe Pub. Sasso is actually across the river in East Nashville--they are trying to revive that part or town. I like F Scott's myself, never been to Arthur's, but truthfully I feel like Sunset Grill has really taken a turn for the worst as far as quality goes, although I used to LOVE going there in college. Anyway, my SO and I are going to a wedding in Atlanta next month--I'll have to pick your brain for restaurants for that trip before we go!!

Hope I'm not butting in on your conversation, but I wanted to put my vote in for Cafe 1-2-3. I love that place, it's very romantic and the food is excellent.

I love Sassos too. Haven't been to Cafe Nonna, but hear wonderful things about it all the time.

Laden - you're not butting in! I haven't been to cafe 1-2-3 before either. It's so good to know some restaraunts in town now!

HHcowgirl - I'll definitely ill you in on some good Atlanta restaruants. I also hate to hear that sunset grill has taken a turn for the worse. We always went there.
