Did anyone else find these two recipes from May too similar? Well I made both of them, just because I like cucumbers. I really liked the Marinated Onion rings better. I like the dill flavor. It would have been alot better with fresh dill though. I still have them in the fridge,they have been there for 2 1/2 weeks and seem to be improving with age. Last week I served them with BBQ,(the brisket & the chopped beef). What a great combo.
The sweet-spicy cucumbers I did not find spicy at all. I let them marinate for 2 days. I found them quite garlicky but the red chilis I used really didn't add anything. I used the pickling cukes and they were great.
I just couldn't believe the similarity in the 2 recipes, I think CL didn't realize they did that. (and the recipes are only 6 pages apart!)
