This was very easy to put together, and was fairly tasty. Not great, but good. Mine took forever to set---I baked it an additional 15 minutes, and it was still kind of "eggy" in the middle. I served this with a tossed green salad, and it was a nice, light, simple dinner. Probably not delicious enough to be a repeater, but I'll have no problems finishing the leftovers.

Glad to see a review on this one. I plan to make it sometime next week.

I made this tonight for dinner also. My DH and I both liked it. I would agree with you Kristal...it was a good dish--I don't know if I will make it again--there are so many new things to try. It was very easy to make with all the ingrendients easily on hand.

We had this for dinner last night. It was very easy to make and had a large portion size. I think I would have liked it better if there as a layer of onions in the middle also. DH said he liked it but he poured some fat-free raspberry vinagrette on his piece!

I'd have to concur with those of you who said "good, not great". The portion size was HUGE, which does help with the "full feeling". I didn't skimp ingredient-wise -- used day-old bakery bread and tons of fresh thyme -- and I'm glad; it kept it interesting. If I made this again (and I admit a soft spot for savory bread pudding), I'm going to triple the onions for sure.

I paired this with Eating Well's Asparagus with Roasted Pine Nuts (SP 03) and a glass of red wine - a little splurge after a long Wednesday at work.

Hoping it reheats well for lunch...

I hope this reheats well for lunch, too, because I've got it today!

Amazingly I made this recipe as is, with no substitution (managed to find Gruyere, thankfully!).

I liked it, DBF did not. I would make it again eventually, but since my list of "to try" recipes is so long, something needs to be a 10+ to be repeated before I get to the end of the list (which should probably be around the time I need a nursing home and can't cook for myself anymore...:D).

It was real easy to make, which is always good. I found the cooking time to be just right. But that could be because I didn't measure out the bread and maybe used a bit more than I should have...

I made this on Christmas to go with prime rib, I was getting tired of potatoes and was looking for something different, it went quite well with the meat everyone really liked it. I used regular milk instead of Soy, and I used cippolini onions, I would make this again and it was great left over.
