Hi Molli526,
There are currently 3 women, including myself who have met 3 times.
We are all around 30-35, no kids, 2 are married. We are pretty laid back and decided we wanted to cook together as much as possible during our meetings. We've been trying to make things that we haven't tried before- So far so good! Next Month, Wednesday, July 2 we will be meeting in Beverly Hills with a Tapas theme, this time we are meeting a little earlier than usual to make more items together- 6:30 pm. The last 3 times we have met at 7:30pm. Any other info you might need, just let me know! Hope you can join us:)

We have changed the date in July, due to some conflicts. It will be Wednesday, July 9 at 6:30 pm in Beverly Hills. Molli and/or badunnin email me if you want to join us (or anyone else for that matter!) and we will get you directions to the host's house closer to the meeting date.

Definitely! We just met Tuesday night at my place. We might be meeting next week at a new restaurant in Birmingham (Mitchell's), we decided we are a "food" group so we've also met just for dinner out but our focus is still cooking! If we will be meeting at Mitchell's next week, I will post something. Otherwise we will be meeting the first Tuesday in September in Ferndale. Email me if you have any questions or are interested. Welcome:)
Thanks. I would be interested. I will be out of town next week, but would like information about September. I can't seem to get your email, so if you want to email me, go ahead. Thanks.

I'm interested in your cooking club. Are you open for adding one more? I live in the Royal Oak area and love to cook, drink wine, and meet new people.
Thanks!

Hello! My name is Cindy and I live in Troy, Michigan. I was a member of a Supper Club for about four years when new jobs, new babies, etc. broke the group up. There were 12 members in the group and some of them participated with their husbands. We were not a picky group - love to cook and drink wine and that was about it! We met monthly/every two months based on availability. The host would provide the theme and the main entee and members would volunteer ideas for side dishes. The host would organize the supper. Each member would bring a bottle of wine (couples 2). We had so much fun and I miss it very much. Husband and I tried so many different dishes, desserts, and appetizers. The one rule was: you must bring something 'home made'. Nobody crossed the threshhold with a Stouffer's frozen lasagne dinner! Each member (or couple) would bring one or two dishes already prepared/mostly prepared, so that time in the hosts kitchen was minimal, different dishes did not collide with the oven, etc. and provide recipes, if requested. We did not stick to Cooking Light recipes, either. We had some fabulous choices: some examples were: A Soup Night. Different soups and backup breads/crackers/etc. Another night we had: Wine and Cheese For Supper which was also great. I tried cheeses that I thought I'd never like. Some of us were very creative and brought things like Jalapeno jelly for topping brie cheese and 'dessert wines' to go with 'dessert cheeses'. We had bar-b-ques to very Formal Dinners for December holidays. Do you see why I enjoyed it so much? We ended up really becoming friends even though we are now spread out - some in other countries! Please let me know further what your club is about, I think I would like to join.

I'm out in the Ann Arbor area, so if anyone's out this way I would love to get one started. However, I will start working in Southfield in May so, if not, I would be really interested in joining the Oakland County one you have going! I love to cook (and eat of course!).

Cindy- Can you tell me a little more about your club? It sounds great and I'm really interested however, I have a few questions. My husband works a lot and would not be able to join us on a consistant basis. Is that a problem? Are there any "single" girls around or is it all partnered off? Also, what is the age range of your club? Are there kids involved or is it strictly a grown up function? And do you plan on getting together any time soon? Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
