I have to make a dessert for my bunko group tomorrow night and am considering the "make-ahead cappuccino-oreo trifles, or the cappuccino cheesecake w/fudge sauce" any opinion on these desserts would be appreciated or do you have another option for me?
TIA Ann
just realized I didn't spell opinion correct in the title, ooops! (and I can't fix it) http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I have made the cheesecake and it is very rich and very good. Havent made the oreo thingies, but please let us know how they are if you go that route! Yum!

you could make a trifle - two kinds. either angelfood (already made) from the bakery with strawberries (mashed) with vanilla pudding and coolwhip or my other favorite - angelfood cake with choc. pudding and coolwhip with cherry pie filling. oh, my gawd, it's so light and yet looks pretty and impressive when you bring it somewhere...I top it with coolwhip and choc. shavings. You can make the pudding the night before and then right before you go, just layer it...one time I put cinnamon on top but it wasn't good with the cherries...or you can leave the cherries out.your choice...

Ann:
I made the cappuccino cheesecake w/fudge sauce about 2 weeks ago for some friends who do not eat healthy in any way shape or form (eat fast food at least 3 or 4 times a week etc.) and they loved this cheesecake. It is very rich and, because of that, a little goes a long way.
