Amazing Race- June 12th

In case I'm just being blind today and missed a thread already started on last night's episode- forgive me.

But I really enjoyed it last night's show. I think Vienna is GORGEOUS, so I was pleased they went there. The sewer thing was very similar to a detour done in the first season. But that bungee jump was INCREDIBLE!! I would have done it, but it would have scared me terribly. I have a hard time with heights like that (meaning- one large tower separate from anything else).

Also, am I the only one who was screaming "Grab a glass for yourself!" after the father/son team completed the champagne glass fast forward??

The nastiness is getting worse. The fighting between Millie and that guy over the card was a little over the top. And judging from next week's previews, they are only getting nastier with each episode.

I was really glad to see that couple go though. It would be interesting if all the young, physically fit couples were eliminated right away. Now if only the models would be next!!

I have to admit I was somewhat surprised that the Air Traffic Controllers were not eliminated last night....it goes to show you that you don't always HAVE to sprint from place to place to stay in the race (at least at this point in the game - I'm sure it is only going to get more competitive from here). I don't have a favorite team yet, so for now I don't really care who gets kicked off.

Vienna looked gorgeous, even in the winter. Definitely will have to visit there sometime. I was surprised how "easily" everyone did the bungee jump....they barely even looked nervous! I sure would have been. :)

Ok - we were cheering for the air traffic controllers. We were suprised and happy to see them finish. They were just absolutely sure that they were last, so they weren't in any hurry. The couple that came in last lost because of their bickering. I'd be suprised if they marry after this.

I agree that the competition is getting more combatitive. They are under a lot of stress and they should try to take a deep breath and calm down.

Are we watching this in real time? Are they on the race this moment or have they finished?

I liked last night's episode b/c we went to Vienna on our honeymoon (5 yrs ago today!) and went to Shonnbrun (sp?) Palace. So it was neat to see it again.

Now I'm off to WI (a little less glamourous!) for our little anniversary weekend...

I watched it. I didn't think it was much of a 'race', rather anticlimatic. The same team led the whole time. I did miss the beginning so I have no idea how David & Jeff ended up so far behind. What happened to them.

OMG- total Amazing Race fanatic checking in. I was disappointed last night too. Ever since Chip had his meltdown in Korea (the ugly american moment in the cab about the driver not speaking english) I've not liked him.

It was really sad to see Kelly crying last night. Also, I LOVED the editing when David and Jeff exclaimed that they made the "least mistakes of the teams remaining" and then they showed how they couldn't close the van doors. Too funny!

I'm sad that it's over though...I love that show!

I did not like Chip either. Mean Head Fred! I was so sad Kelly and Jon didn't win. I liked them.

They made a bad choice on the flights, and got stuck in Sydney.

Yeah, I didn't like Chip and what's his name at all. I would have preferred either of the other teams. I liked the "goats" the best. They were nice to look at! :D

I had a chance to look at the website after I posted my message, and I found that out. I thought it was odd that they didn't even show them until the very end of the show. I only missed the first 13 minutes too.
