how to tell if sausage is still good?

defrosted some sausage Saturday night (in the micro) but didn't use it. It is still in my fridge. Think it is still good??
Oh, its just regular sweet italian sausage.

I think it probably is still OK -- usually I can tell if sausage has gone bad simply by its smell and texture. If it's not good, it should seem a little "off." I would use it today or tomorrow at the latest, though.
