Did everyone notice RebeccaT's new avatar? Everyone has such great ones, and when people update them, it takes me a bit to recognize you again! That got me thinking about how much I loved her Pooh avatar, and I always secretly wished that I'd found it first :o ;) because it was so darn cute. Others that I really love are Colleen's new portrait (so very cool!), Sandy's Psycho Chick (heh heh heh) and Maureen's bear/beaver. However, if I could have anyone elses avatar, it would be Jill's:

My avatar is because of Gail, because of the dish she created that I love so well, and just because. I'm not going to go into the psycho bit. :p

I like change, and I'd like to change mine at some point, but I haven't found any that feel quite as "homey" as mine.

Like you, Lisa, I tend to identify people by their avatars (Lori's swirly thing, Eva's dancing dog, Grace's blah blah blah face), so it tends to throw me when they're changed. But in a good way! :) Change is good!

I love Maureen's bear, and really, any avatar that has movement of any type has my vote. And like Debie - I really like (and miss) Jewel's . . . . . :D :D :D

I have only been without my Pooh for a day, and I already miss him. However, I really was starting to feel like I needed a change, since I had Pooh for over a year!!

I don't feel like these cherries have quite as much personality, but since I buy cherries every week for as long as I can find them in the stores, I figured it was appropriate, at least. :o

My real reason for changing was so that I could change my signature line. I love that quote! :D

coming back to edit b/c I forgot to list whose avatars I like:
- I love Sandy's and Lisa's.
- I really used to love Lori's juggler (not that I don't like the swirly thing, Lori!), but when I finally found it I couldn't bring myself to use it because it just seemed so... Lori. :o
- I love Leigh's flower. So cute.
- MamaSue always has the best seasonal ones!
- And of course, there's always food girl - Avatar Free! :D

I pretty much love anyone with a dancing avatar!

I especially like Sandy's because of its BB significance. And Lisa, yours is so cute, you have no reason for avatar-envy! I also really like Melanie's new one - the "ooohhh ... aaahhh" makes it even better :)

I am so envious of all the cool avatars. I consider myself pretty computer-literate, but I still had to ask Jennifer for help with this boring one (but hey, at least it's bright and makes me pop out a little, right?) - and since I don't want to bug her again, I gave up on finding a new one. Molli, go to User CP up top, then choose User Options. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see the spot to enter in the URL of the image you want (it has to be on the web somewhere, not on your local hard drive, and it can't be larger than 50 x50 pixels). Enter it in and it *should* work. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Good luck!

Lisa, if I resize an image using gifworks, do I then need to put the resized image on a website to link to it? I don't recall doing that for my Pochacco, but I'm not sure how else I would have done it, except linking to gifworks (and I'm not sure they let you do that).

I'm afraid I don't know the answer, Eva. I've never used Gifworks, I do it on my own computer and upload them to my personal website. I know that Animation Factory lets you size your image and it has a URL afterwards... Perhaps someone else would know?

Eva - I put my avatars temporarily on my work web site. I don't know if gifworks has a place for your to store them, but could you put one on your Imagestation or Ofoto account?

Kristin - I love your avatar for the reason you listed, it's so bright and cheerful. I think it would make a great design on a piece of pottery. However, if you must change ;) I'd be happy to help look.

I resized my avatar on my computer using the photo editor that came with my scanner. Then I uploaded it to imagestation so I could use it here. I'm rather fond of it myself. :)

Kim, that's Wizard Island at Crater Lake National Park, about a couple hours south of me! :D How cool. It's a dormant volcano (Mt. Mazama) that collapsed when it blew it's top millions of years ago. It's the deepest freshwater lake in North America. :)

This thread gave me MAJOR avatar envy and sent me on a quest to find something new. Well, like Kim, I went through the whole search thing, found a few I liked, went through the whole Image Station thing and found out I couldn't use the image because it was a .gif and NOT a .jpeg file! Yes! It's supposed to be some sand, a beach ball and a pail. However, when I sized it, it doesn't show up well. I was too lazy to change it and then too busy. I was supposed to come up with a summer quote to go with the avatar, but didn't do that either.

Still hunting for a new avatar (but with little time, it isn't likely to happen any time soon!).....

When I type the full address, it doesn't show up. When I type the rest of the address after the CL prompt, it shows up.

So Terri, when you click change avatar cl will prompt you with the beginning of the address. I think it provides http://www so you type in .greysangel.com/summer.gif and that will work. I just tested it!

Beth--The easiest way to start is to use one of CL's avatars. Go to "User CP" at the top of the screen, then hit "Edit Options" then hit "Change Avatar" and then click on the one you want. Tamawrite - when you add an avatar, it will show up on all your past posts as well, not just ones you write after you add it. It will be enough to just find an old post to see if it has worked. :)
