If you're looking for some relatively basic seasonings, try adding salt, pepper and sour cream to the cooked cabbage. Caraway seeds are also a nice touch.
Otherwise, if you're looking for something more complex... I'm sure we could dig something up http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

try cooking it in vegetable broth. I do it this way, and even my (finicky) husband eats it.
A favorite in our house is to coarsely chop the cabbage and stir-fry it in an extremely hot wok until it gets brown spots on the leaves. About half way through, add a couple of tablespoons of oyster sauce and as much garlic as you can stand. It's easy to make and tastes great. (Then again, we are garlic fanantics, so 7 or 8 cloves of the preminced garlic from a jar would not be unusual.)

We like to make a sweet and sour version by cooking a couple pieces of bacon, set aside, and using just a little of the drippings to cook the chopped cabbage in until it starts to brown slightly. Then add some cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Crumble the bacon and add it last. Sorry I don't have ingredient amounts but I just kind of taste it and add what it needs. Also remember cabbage does cook down quite a bit so you need to start out with a big panful!
