Hope this doesn't start World War III, but my new CL issue came today. I honestly don't think I have EVER gotten it this early. I was going to list some dishes, but I don't want to spoil the surprise for others. I bet the rest of you will be receiving yours soon!

Why is it that we have to wait so long!? Most other subscriptions I have are send 1-2 weeks prior to the month they are sending. What gives???????? This makes me want to go on strike http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/mad.gif

I think it is because the issue is a Jan/Feb combination. Still, I wouldn't mind some mail...

Well, I don't care, humph. If mine takes longer to get here, it just means I have less time to wait than you early-birds for the March issue. Nyah, nyah, nyah. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/tongue.gif

I'm glad to hear y'all are just starting to get your Jan/Feb issue. I went out of town over the holidays and stopped my mail. I got my mail today, but no CL. I thought maybe the postal workers were "borrowing" my CL! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Crossing my fingers it comes soon!

Oops, this post reminded me that I got so excited about the cookie recipes last month that I forgot to read the front part of the December issue. I guess that'll keep me busy until I get Jan/Feb.

I'm looking forward to the reviews though so I know what to make first.

Got mine today in Chapel Hill, NC! Do wish it were a thicker issue to tide us over until March. Maybe CL will realize how much we love getting our magazines each month and start making it a 12 month mag.

I noticed a picture on one of the covers displayed on this site: Champion Chicken Parmesan. Does anyone have this recipe?
It looks awesome. Is it in the new magazine or an old one. I can't tell from the picture

I am with you Phoebe. I had to look at the new issue in the grocery store. Maybe I'll get mine today. One person in my dinner club got hers last week and I see that SoCal & Rachelle got theirs. I guess that this is my penance for being one of the first last month. This is weird because I usually receive my Bon Appetit around the same time every month.

SouthCentral PA checking in to say, I got mine today!! Anyone else from PA get it yet? I am going downstairs to look through it now. If it continues to snow, I might have a school delay tomorrow.
Now I can stop whining at home about not getting it. Hope you get yours soon!
We should have a little map of the US and put stars on it each time someone gets their copy. (Oh no, my teacherside jumped out!)
*Tiger, did you get it? Hope so!!!
Really, it would be interesting to see how that works.
*SueK, where in PA do you live? Tiger and I are in PA and did not receive it when you did, we are jealous!! Wink, wink!

I received my issue last Friday (1/5). So, what's worse, not getting it or having it and not having the time to look at it. I've even taken it to work, yesterday and today.

Susann,

I finally braved my way through this post...I still don't have mine yet, either.
I think what's most annoying is that it's on the newsstands but not in my mailbox! Oh, well, maybe today...you'd think 'cause Atlanta's so close, we'd get ours sooner!

I haven't received my new copy in South Carolina either.

Worse, I got a late notice on a renewal I sent in before Christmas. It's the first bill I've received for this renewal!! I hate getting nasty reminders for something when I've been waiting all along for the ORIGINAL bill to arrive. Hmmm...maybe it's hanging out in the mail with my January issue!!! Harrummmph!

Susan,
Haven't gotten mine yet either (Alpharetta) and I called yesterday. They are sending another one and I was told that I will probably get my original in the next 2 days and get the one she ordered in 10. It is not like we are that far from MS and as if we are in Iceland!

BethH, i saw you posted where you are, and just have to ask, how long have you lived there?
Im still looking for a school friend and her family moved to the same town back in 1990. Ive lost touch w/her since!
Her family last name is Harris. Her dad was in the Navy. Her relatives live there in NC, somewhere in the "country".

Just wondered how long you've lived there, and if you know of them, or someone who may know them....etc...lol

anyway, just hanging on to the hope I'll find her! lol
