Just wondering who does ;)

I chose Other because I don't love it or hate it. I don't think any gum flavor lasts long enough to enjoy it. For breath I use Starbucks after coffee mints.

I did other-I am in the process of stopping smoking and chew gum to keep from losing my mind, and only occasionally, but not necessarly for fresh breath.
I chose All the time - I quit smoking 15 years ago, I started chewing obsessivly then and I never stopped! The way I see it, better to be hooked on gum...

I do not chew it because it messes with my jaw...TMJ...Gum is the worse thing for it...unfortunately!

ditto.
I voted "other" because I don't chew gum not because I don't like how it looks, but because I can't really do it.

I chew it occasionally...either as a breath issue or more usually if I feel the need to "chew something" and I'm really not hungry. For example, if I have soup for lunch, it fills me up, but I didn't chew enough for me to be satisfied.

I chew it all the time. It's one of my treats and it satisfies any sweet cravings.

I voted other - I used to chew it all the time for my breath, but I must chew too hard or something, and my teeth are weak, and I ended up needing 3 root canals/crowns after I started chewing lots of gum, so I don't chew it at all anymore. I carry around Tic Tacs or some such thing for my breath now.

I chew all the time!
In fact, I'm chewing gum right now. Extra Spearmint.

Another "other"!
I used to chew a stick of Trident Original every day after lunch but don't think to now that I'm not working.
I often do see people smacking their gum or chewing away with their mouth wide open and it's not a great look......

I quit chewing gum when I was about 15---over 30 years ago. I loved Teaberry and Strawberry gum but my dad told me I looked like a cow chewing its cud--I checked it out in the mirror--he was right. It's not a pretty thing.

I chose other. I usually chew gum at work when I am not real hungry but want something to chew on. Usually is it Extra Polar Ice.

I don't really like to chew gum (don't like the way it makes my mouth feel) but I do looooove Tearjerkers Guts gumballs and will get one on Saturday when I go to the grocery store. I chew it until the flavor dies, then swallow.

I chose when my breath needs it. I too have a problem with TMJ so after awhile my jaw hurts. My second problem with it is because for some reason I forget I am chewing and SWALLOW it!! I love Clorets for bad breath. :p

I voted "other" because I chewed it as a kid until I was ~14-15 y.o. Then I got braces and stopped chewing it for a few years. When I tried it again after my mouth was "derailed", I could not stand the stuff...and I still can't!! Go figure!?

Just like Karen W! I chewed it until I was about 12 years old and was fitted for braces. When my teeth were de-metaled, I no longer had the urge... and that was about 30 years ago!

Sorry to go OT, but Luika, I think those little dogs are so darned cute! How many do you have? (I saw a guy in Central Park with FIVE of them on a leash!)

I'm a chain chewer - just kidding, but I do chew alot of gum. I only chew a sugar free brand from the health food store called Peelu. It is more expensive, but it is small (I can't stand those huge pieces) and better for your teeth. They call it the "tooth brush gum". :)

NO! I can't stand the stuff. I also hate it when people are around me "smacking" the vile stuff. Quiet chewers are okay. But people who chew gum with their mouths open, cracking and popping it drive me nuts!!

I chew gum rarely, so marked "other."
Maybe its a generational thing or something, but I find people meeting the public (such a salesclerks) who are chewing gum so offensive that I've been known to complain to a manager.

I voted "Other" as well. I used to chew it occasionally, but I found it did tire my jaw and it seems to be an aggravator (is that a word?) to my IBS; both the ingredients (sorbitol I think is what does it) and in the way I'm gulping/swallowing air. Come to think of it, I don't like the way it looks in grown men and women. Martha

I just use breath mints, gum flavor never lasts long enough.
But I swear, if I have to watch another person chewing her gum with her mouth open, rolling it around her teeth, and cracking it  disgusting.

Interesting question. I never chewed gum when I was younger, Catholic School. And I've never really picked it up as a habit. I'd say i chew gum somewhere inbetween occasionally and never. So I answered "other"!:D When I do it is usually for my breath, but normally I chose a mint for that.
Oh and I absolutely can't stand to step in the stuff! Yuck why are people so rude?

I quit chewing gum about 14 years ago. I don't miss it all. I rarely even buy gum for the kids, or even just let someone else give them some.

Nope. I find it offensive too.
I used to chew gum when I was a kid, but I have no desire to do so now that I'm an adult. On the rare occassion that I do chew gum, I do it in my car or when there's no one around. I chew it for about 5 minutes then spit it out.

Oh - I forgot: I never allow my 4 yr old to chew gum. I have become MEAN mom around some people. He has a few buddies that are allowed to chew bubble gum but i stand my guns and say NO! :o

I voted "other". I never chew gum because (1) I've put too much money into dental work to jeopardize it and (2) when I was a kid I developed the habit of snapping gum...now I can't chew gum without snapping it and it drives me and everyone around me nuts!
Am I the only one in the world that chewing Dentyne makes your nose itch? In my gum snapping days I really preferred the flavor of Dentyne but the itch drove me 'round the bend! Don't ask...

I voted "other." I don't chew gum at all because I don't like it. I'm not a big fan of minty things. I know they make other flavors, but I've just never really had the desire.

I voted occasionally.
In high school, I used to chew it all the time (breaking the rules, ooohhhh). Now I rarely chew it - and if I do, it's usually something minty. Sometimes I just need it to freshen my breath, other times I need it to keep my mouth occupied. But I absolutely HATE gum-smackers - Kobe Bryant comes to mind

I voted never. I stopped chewing it in middle school - thought it looked gross. It is a strange concept - chewing and chewing and never swallowing. I think it looks bad.
But what really upsets me is stepping on gum! Like it isn't bad enough to have to see people chewing!

I voted only when my breath requires which is recent (not that I recently developed bad breath). I have always hated gum chewing for me- not watching others! But I am now hooked on Orbit gum, my pet peeve is that the flavor never lasts on gum, but this stuff lasts for hours and even when the mint is gone it doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste. I have to buy it buy the case at Cosco now! I keep packs everywhere, purse, desk drawer, kitchen drawers, etc...it really helps kill that early morning coffee breath that is not so pleasant to anyone around you.

I'm with Kristin - I used to chew it all the time in high school (and my friends would get mad at me b/c I never got caught!)
However, I must have started chewing really hard, because about 10 years ago I started biting the c**p out of my mouth everytime I tried to chew gum... drew blood and everything. Now I don't chew it, not because I don't like it, but out of fear for my safety! :p

I don't ever buy gum, but every once in a while if someone offers me a stick I'll chew it. I usually spit it out after a few minutes. I just don't like it all that much, and the flavor doesn't last very long anyway.
...and how many of you chew gum the way they do on commercials?
Pop in a stick, chew once and smile.
That's it. :)
