Made these tonight and thought they were very good. I like the flavor of sun-dried tomatoes but not in very big pieces so I chopped them in pretty fine pieces and the flavor was great. They did not taste like a light biscuit at all. They went very well with leftover ham from Thanksgiving dinner #1. Will definitely make these again.

I agree, these are fantastic! I just made them again while visiting my parents and they loved them too. I was going to make biscuits and their recipe called for 2 sticks of butter! I just couldn't do it, luckily I had the sun-dried tomato recipe along.

I have made these twice now--both times to go with soup. They are DELICIOUS!!! I haven't bought any semolina flour, so I have substituted the cornmeal both times. These are definitely going on my list of favorites! And they're also EASY to make. Just the thing when you want a flavorful, healthy biscuit. YUM!!!

I too loved these. I served it with a jazzed up version of the Spaghetti Pie from the May? issue. It was delicious. What does everyone else serve these with?

I loved these as well. There is a previous post where I mentioned this, but my dough is too moist to use a biscuit cutter. I end up sort of blobbing them on the baking sheet and they still taste yummy (I just call it my own rustic approach!). Also, I add more ground red pepper than the recipe calls for. They go well with meatloaf.

I followed the recipe exactly and drained all the sun dried tomato liquid. Maybe I am just biscuit-making impaired. After all, I am not a true southerner!

I made these last night, and I too thought they were yummy.

My only problem is that they didn't rise very much. They were very flat. Did anyone else have this problem? Are the biscuits supposed to be flat? I like mine to be really light and airy on the inside, and mine were much more dense. I may have had too many sun-dried tomatoes. (I didn't have whole, just julienned, so had to kind of eyeball it. How much chopped tomatoes did y'all have?)

Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated.

Mine weren't too sticky (did you knead them 5 or so times on a well-floured surface??) and they did rise and were pretty light. Did you add more flour than just the prescribed amount? Mine were just right!
