I just realised talking to my mom that I think NC IS my mom. After meeting some board people this weekend, I think she logged in to have a peek. Northern Comfort is a name she has used before (but I thought it unlikely that it would be mom here. I just connected it with SoCo here.)

That's awful that your Mom showed up at the same time as our troll. I think it was just bad luck on her part, and the fact that her user name was very similar to SouthernComfort made us all somewhat suspicious.

I hope she comes back.

I realize that things got a little stirred up by some unknown parts, but really - this event doesn't exactly prove what a nice place this can truly be. :)

You guys are all so sweet! I do love my mom, as much as we get on each other's nerves sometimes. :rolleyes: And, I do wish she would cook more! Save me from cooking every night! :D

She's waiting on a confirmation e-mail now. I don't know what's going on. She's using the same e-mail address as she did when she originally registered under NC. We'll see if it goes through.

Bethany - I hope that your Mom gets everything corrected and is able to join us.

I was also a "victim" of the banning of usernames. I had registered a second name on Sunday night so that I could post a topic that I kind of thought I wanted to be annonymous on. Well, I never got a confirmation email, so I guess I was banned too.

Oh well, I guess it's a good thing my topic of discussion wasn't too important....

You should contact Jennifer. I didn't get a confirmation email when I first joined. Sometimes the system just doesn't work properly.
