Makes you wonder why they signed up instead of just staying as a guest

Maybe they're just worried that if they say the wrong thing, they'll get kicked off. :)
Sometimes, when you're new, you worry about stuff like that.

Or if they sign up with the "wrong" screen name.

That whole situation still makes me upset! I was amazed that approx 1/4 of the total members dont have anything to say yet:(

You would think there would be a way for CL to "clean up" the members list. Maybe notify those who haven't posted in a year and delete their accounts unless they say otherwise? Mailing lists and phone call lists can be cleaned up, why not BB members?
Well, I've posted at least few times, but usually I don't have much to say! Besides, it's a bit intimidating to see all of you with your thousands of posts and then compare to my measly double digit count. :) Since you all know each other and have been here so long, it seems a little weird to stick my head in and say, "You have no idea who I am, but..." Guess I'm sort of BB shy--but I still enjoy reading it!
As for all the zero-posters, perhaps there are people who aren't as vulnerable to our little addiction. Or maybe there are just 3500 devoted lurkers... ;)

Pico,
Just jump right in. Although, it would be nice if the BB was cleaned up of all those unused accounts.
Leigh
Thanks, guys. You're such a sweet group! :D

I think Leigh's got her eye on an account name that has zero posts. :D

What I find strange is that no one thinks its strange that I took the time to figure out how many "un-posted" members we had.....:D:D:D

No ... I really did think that was strange, Kim. :D Did you seriously count over 100 pages of these people? Yikes!

Thanks Mary Kate! I knew I could count on you;)
I was waiting for DH to get home and trying to stay awake. SO, I jumped every 10 pages, knowing that was 300 people. WHen I got to places where I saw 1 post, I wne back and counte individual pages (30 people per page). I think it was about 3522 with "zero":D

I can't imagine why someone would sign up and not post.
Imagine what those zero posters think of us - those with posts in the thousands? They probably saw my number and decided to get a life before it was too late. :D :D :D

MK,
The only problem is that you can only have one account per email address and I only have 2 email addresses. So, Me and Myself will have to do without I. Unless I can convince DH to let me use his work email account. :D Or, I could get one of those freebee accounts. Decisions, decisions...

I've signed up for boards before and never posted. It sounds like a good idea at the time, but then I just never get around to jumping in, mostly because I need to spend time on another bulletin board about as much as I need a hole in the head! :D
Perhaps these folks are afraid that once they post, they'll be sucked in like the rest of us and never get anything done!
In any case, whatever their reasons for registering and not posting, it's not a big deal - no harm, no foul. :)

Maybe they think that everyone that posts is a part of a big clique and they do not have any idea that most of us don't have a clue who we are talking to. Maybe they don't realize that you do't have to KNOW someone to relate to them or what they are saying.
By the way, WELCOME PICO! I don't have thousands of posts, but next week I will be caught up with the top posters....yeah, right.
I started with 0 posts! :D
Joyce!
