View Full Version : The weirdest thing happened to me...

I don't even know if this will seem real, or funny, but here goes...

Dad and I were driving back from the hardware store when a Jeep Cherokee pulled out in front of us (no big deal), but it had this dark thing flapping on its roof. I figured it was a piece of plastic or something tied to the roof, but as we got closer, dad said it looked like a bird, and I said a rooster. Sure enough, it WAS a rooster. Just kind of hanging in there on the top of this Jeep doing 45 mph. He hung in there for about 1.5 miles before he tried to stand up and slid off the back of the roof, down the back window, onto the road, and ran to the side of the road. The Jeep pulled over. I have no clue what was going on, but it was soooo weird and soooo funny!

Ok, I've seen roosters and chickens on Novi road in Northville, but not going down the road to the mall! :D

Heavens! Roosters are not what I associate with city 'burbs! Although I guess all kinds of things can happen just about anywhere..

I also have no idea how it got on the roof of the truck. They aren't exactly known as being birds of flight. *shrug*

there are a lot of houses around here with roosters that sort of wander out in the ditch along the sides of the road, but i have never seen one on top of a car!

can roosters even fly? i have no idea, i have never seen one just flying through the air. how could it get up on top of the jeep and how come they didnt notice it was there before driving off? or did they put it up there on purpose?

there are just some things that i will never understand.
