Hi everybody!

I was eating with a friend last night, and the topic turned to food. Has anyone ever heard of "drunken" noodles or something similar to this? If so, how do I make them?

I thought it was kind of an interesting food name. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Thanks!

Yes - they're a delicious Thai dish (my second favorite only to Pad Thai) that I've never been able to properly duplicate at home even though it seems like it should be easy.

It's really wide, very white noodles with ground chicken sauteed with green and red peppers, onions, and lots of basil over top.

Some Thai restaurants don't call it drunken noodles, though...

Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with an authentic recipe.

Saralee- I found a recipe for Drunkards Noodles on the Taste of Thai web site. It doesn't call for chicken, but I guess you could adjust accordingly.

The recipe can be found at http://www.atasteofthai.com/nr803.htm

Good Luck! Sue

Here's a link to a recipe that sounds like what I'm used to getting at Thai restaurants. If you try it, please let me know if it's a success.
