View Full Version : Review...Steamed vegetarian dumplings....

I'll start off by saying I used chicken instead of tofu...I know it's supposed to be good for you and everything but I will take everyone's word for it.
The dumplings were great and so much fun to make. My husband and I had a "cook Chinese night". We also had the shrimp fried rice (jan/feb. pg102) I had never actually had a chinese dumpling before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. They were very tasty. We made so many we couldn't eat them all. I was unsure how they would be the next day, but they were just as good as the night before!!! A must try!

you mentioned that you also made the shrimp fried rice from the jan/feb issue - i'm curious to know how it was.

Jen-the shrimp fried rice needed some extra kick. It was quite bland. I've never been able to make any recipe for fried rice be as tasty as what you can get at Chinese restaurants....
