So I'm trying to be supportive and I'm making my currently-doing-Atkins boss a low-carb cheesecake for her birthday. Dutifully I go and buy a box of Splenda, the loose stuff. Come home only to discover, naturally, that the ingredient list helpfully specifies "4 packets of Splenda."
Anybody out there with a packet wanna rip 'er open and measure it? Just the next time you're opening one anyway--I'm not baking till Wednesday. thanks!

One packet of splenda is equal to 2 tsp of sugar or granular splenda so you need 8 tsp of splenda for your recipe.
Hope that helps.

Maureen--thank you! And so speedy!
now, let's just hope this thing is actually semi-edible....(i'm making the oatmeal blueberry cookies as a backup, just in case....:D ) Thanks again!

You might want to check the Splenda website. I am pretty sure that the stuff in the packets is actually a little different than the stuff in the box - the stuff in the packets is sweeter. I know they say not to sub packets for box, but I don't know about vice versa. Their website is pretty helpful so check it out, and good luck.

I just wanted to add that these measurements for Splenda are for the granular pour type that is measured exactly like sugar. I called the company because I just bought a box of 700 packets from Sam's and wanted to know how to convert.
Here is the conversion of packets for cups of Splenda sweetness:
6 pkts = 1/4 cup
8 pkts = 1/3 cup
12 pkts = 1/2 cup
16 pkts = 2/3 cup
18 pkts = 3/4 cup
24 pkts = 1 cup
I copied this reply from Suzanne Somers forum where someone had the same question as you. 4 packets would be 1/6th of a cup which I think 8 tsp is. I just measured 8 tsp. of water into a measuring cup and got 1/6th of a cup.
