View Full Version : Ann Arbor/Dearborn Club looking for new members
Hi. The supper club I belong to has recently had someone move and we are looking for a few more members. We range from the Ann Arbor area to Dearborn. We meet the second Sunday of the month in the afternoon. The club is all women and a wide variety of ages, both married and single. We usually try to prepare meals together and learn more about cooking from each other. If you are interested, please email me and I can let you know more about the group and when we plan to meet next.

Hi. I'm in JC's supper club and will be hosting in October. I am taking some cooking classes this fall in at Schoolcraft Community College - pastry baking, chicken cooker and pasta. For our October meeting, we will be "repeating" the cooking class topic I feel most comfortable with. We'll have 1 - 2 people bring appetizers, someone bring a desert and the rest of the people will bring the necessary ingredients. We will meet late Sunday afternoon - either Oct. 19 or the 26th. If you are interested, you can post here or email JC.

Hey Jennifer -
I'm taking the European Bread Baking class at Schoolcraft this semester! Are you in that one?
Have you already taken Cooking 101? I did that last semester.

No, the European Bread class was full. However, I took that last winter. It was great because the enrollment was low so that we had a great student to teacher ratio. I want to "warn" you though: you will go home with SO MUCH bread. Try to get invited to someone's house for dinner the next night...or have people over for brunch...or have a bread/soup party...something...anything.

I am interested in joining. I joined another one already (Jennifer JJ aren't you in that one too) but the idea of cooking together sounds like fun. It sounds like that between all the classes that everyone has taken that there is a lot of expertise in the group. :) I am going from never having been in a supper club to two clubs. What fun!

Hi Claire,
This club is next meeting in September - we usually end up not meeting much in the summer because too many people are out of town or have crazy schedules. If you are interested, send me an email (I almost never check the boards, but Jen J forwarded the post to me) and I can include you in pur evite for the next meeting.
