I feel like a MUSCLE WOMAN right now! Our sick dog needed to go outside, and hasn't been able to climb steps for a few weeks. DH is at his office a half-hour away. Thank you very much, I carried our 75-pound golden retriever up the steps myself! I told DH and he said "Wow. You really have been working out, good for you!" Um, hopefully he won't want me to do this all the time.... ;)

Sounds like a great way to spot improvement! Good for you, Stephanie :)

Rock on, Muscle Woman! :D Doesn't it feel great when your work pays off? I've been doing a lot of strength training this summer, and I'm definitely starting to see and feel the results. As JeAnne once noted, it's especially fun to secretly stroke your ego at the gym. I love when I have to add more weight to a machine when the previous user gets off. :)

Way to go Muscle Woman! :D The way I can spot improvement is by the distance of my runs. I am now at a point where I enjoy a 5-6 mile run, and I am running 13 on Sunday. Considering I could only run 1 about 6 months ago, it is a huge improvement for me!

WOO HOO! That rocks!! Beware, friends will start enlisting you to be their mover  :D

Yes, I do admit to loving adding weight...especially onto the legs because it looks so much more impressive than my upper body right now! I did pick up manly 20lb dumbells for shoulder presses :D

Strength is totally awesome. I'm just sending little messages to my fat cells to shrink up so I can see my hard work :o :D

I use those 20's for shoulder presses too. One day another woman saw me and said "Yeah--lift HEAVY! Too many women use little wimpy weights"! It was kinda funny. :)
