Just checking to see.... Is anyone interested in starting a supper club in the Somerset, Hunterdon or Morris COunty area? Or is there one out there looking for new members?

I am very interested in starting one. I currently live in Springfield but not that far from you. We are looking for a house in Bridgewater now we were just waiting on DH's job. If you are still interested I would love to.

I think we would need about 6 people to start - Hopefully more people respond!

I live in Chatham (Morris County) and would be interested in joining a club .... guess we're 1/2 way there?

I know another person who wants to join us so that is four. Are we including husbands or going single?

I'm very interesting in joining a club as well. And if we add my soon-to-be husband (as of October 18, 2003) that adds another member. We moved to Hillsborough (Somerset County) last fall and I'd love to make some new friends and have been looking for a supper club.
I live in East Brunswick, but work in Somerset, I would be very interested to join a Supper Club. Send me an e-mail for more information.

ALthough I am not married/currently dating anyone - I have no objection to including spouses/significant others. It looks like we might have enough to make a start - does anyone have any suggestions? Should we try and meet for coffee and planning as a group to sort out the details?

I think meeting somewhere to plan would be a good idea. Where would be a good place and what day I guess is next.

Could we try and get together as a group sometime later this week to get to know one another a little bit and also discuss 1st plans? HOw about we meet for a cup of coffee at around 7:00? We could try for the coffee shop in the Borders by the Bridgewater Mall? Please let me know who is interested.

That is fine with me. Let me know which day.

I would also like to join the supper club- am I too late to meet at Barnes/Noble? We live in Bridgewater, and would love to meet and swap recipes and dishes.

You are not too late - I haven't fixed a specific date yet and was thinking about next Thursday at 7:00. For anyone interested, please let me know if next Thursday at 7:00 works and we can meet at teh Borders that is across the street from the Bridgewater Maill.

Given that no one has responded, I guess we will forgoe the meeting on Thursday night. If we get enough people interested, drop a line on the board and I would be happy to try and coordinate again.
sorry I didn't respond, the computer never sent me an e-mail that the post had been updated. Let me know when the next meeting is.

I didn't get an email update either. Please let me know when we want to meet. I think the Borders is a good idea. What about Sunday afternoon/evening on 9/14?
Sunday evening orlate afternoon is good for me.

I am very interested in joining this supper club. My fiance and I recently moved to Hunterdon County (Holland Township) and he works in Somerset County (HIllsborough) I love to cook, and would really like to meet some new people!
Has a meeting time and place been arranged?
09-17-2003, 08:17 AM
Is everyone still interested in doing this should we pick a time to get together this week?
09-17-2003, 03:15 PM
Sorry for the delay in response - I was on a short vacation in Florida on the beach... How about this Sunday evening (September 21st) at 7:00 at the Border's by the Bridgewater Mall?
09-17-2003, 05:41 PM
Hope you had a good vacation!! That is fine with me I will be there.
That works for me seven o'clock at Borders. Let me know when everything is definite.

Are we meeting on Sunday night for sure?
09-19-2003, 08:12 PM
Hi! Well I think we should try for Sunday night anyway - hopefully we get a good group to show up! So - 7:00 PM Sunday night at Borders across from the Bridgewater Mall. We should meet in the coffee shop - maybe we should meet near the entrance and then get a seat?
09-20-2003, 05:58 AM
That is fine with me. I will be there at 7. By the doors sounds good.

Sorry I can't make it-- i am still very interested!!

Hi AlexNJ and all,
just want to inquire about how (and if) your meeting went on Sunday.
I am one of 4 people who were in a previous supper club, who now want to start our own club in the somerset area, and are looking for 2-3 more members.
Because we all live in a townhouse or apartment, things can get quite cramped with a crowd of 12 or more.
why don't you let me know if you'd like to merge...or if anyone out there would like to join our group, please let me know (pm me)

Hi everyone-- I coudln't make it on Sunday due to company over, but I am still very interested. hopefully we can all meet up soon!

Hi...I have been super busy with wedding planning and was wondering if the meeting ever happened. I think we should try using email addresses. I never get notices of new posts so I missed the meeting. Please keep me updated on what's going on. I may have to wait a few weeks to join you all. Our wedding is 10/18 and then we'll be away for three weeks. I'll be back on November 9 and would love to join the group then. My email address is email@example.com.

Thought I'd bump this up... was there a meeting? I live a little North of you guys in Morris County and would love to start/join something in this direction... any interest?
PS - Amanda: Good luck with the wedding - getting close! :)
