Looking for any young professional in and around the Boston area. I live in West Newton but have quick access into the city. Looking to meet some new friends and spend a night a month socializing, eating and drinking some wine!
Please respond to the thread if you are interested.
Hi,
I would be interested in joining a Boston supper club. I live just north of the city in Woburn - so anything in the city or just outside would work for me.
Thanks
Courtney

Cool! Hopefully we will get a couple of more responses! If not, Courtney, it will be you and I!

Hi,
I would be interested in joining a Boston supper club.
Thanks,
Arianne
I'm interested in joining in, has anything been started yet? I live in Brookline but am willing to go anywhere in the area.
Great! It sounds like we have a good size group, and I know one other person who is interested in joining us. Should we try to meet at a restaurant within the next couple weeks to get to know each other?
I'd be interested in joining also. I live just south of Boston so anywhere in the area is fine.

That is a good idea. Want to meet somewhere in town/just outside for dinner. We can get to know each other and figure how we want to do this! I am good most days except for Wednesdays.

Hi everybody,
Yes -- I think we should definitely meet and work out details :) I can meet most nights except Tuesday nights.

How about Monday, Sept 8th? Maybe someplace in Boston since that seems to be central to most of us. Does that work for everyone? Any suggestions on where to meet?
I need to be in Central Square at 9pm on the 8th, but if we can meet somewhere somewhat convenient to there and on the earlier side I can do it.
Two thoughts for restaurants. The Green Street Grille in Central; reasonably priced, caribbean inspired and incredibly good. and they have a parking lot right next door for the drivers. And the S&S Deli in Inman, which I've never been to but reportedly has a large, cheap menu, is easy for a large group, and has it's own parking lot but is still a quick walk to the T.
If these aren't central enough I'm up for anything else. Or meeting on thursday the 11th. I'm off work at 5 and can get mosy anywhere in the city by 5:30 or 6.
I live in Boston and am interested in joining a supper club. Is it too late to get involved in this group?
Unfortunately, I am out of town until 9/14. Also, I could not meet on Thursday evenings. Let me know what you think.

Hi everybody,
Why don't we meet for dinner at Green Street Grill on Monday, Sept. 15. How about 7pm??
Will this work for everyone??
Arianne
Sounds good to me - 7pm Sept 15th.
great! I have 2 people who emailed me directly about joining as well. So from what I counted 9 people have responded in all. See you all then.
I'd love to join the supper club. Unfortunately I'm tentatively scheduled to be traveling for work the week of the 15th. Please keep me posted on future meetings. If my plans change I'll be at the Green Street Grille on the 15th.

Can you add me to the list? I've been looking to join a cooking club. The 15th works for me! I've heard good things about the Green Street Grille.

I'll be there too. I may bring a friend too. I will let you know. Should we make reservations?
It may be difficult to get a reliable number. I've been keeping track somewhat and have about 9 people who have responded that they are coming. There are also a handful of others who can't make it monday but want to be kept up to date about future meetings. I could call ahead next monday and let them know that a large party is coming and estimate based on how many responses there are at that point.

Hi everyone-- It looks like there is already a big crowd, but if you can include one more, I'm interested in joining a Boston supper club. I can make it on the 15th and look forward to meeting people then!

Hi,
I'd love to join the group and can meet up on the 15th- is there room for one more?
Thanks!!
Since it looks like we do have a pretty good size group - I'm counting around 14-15 people. Does anyone have interest in breaking into two supper clubs? Maybe by location or something - those in the city and those outside it? For future dinners, I'm just not sure that my place is big enough for making dinner for that many people so I may have to look for a smaller club. Any thoughts?
I think there is already an outside 128 group and a western suburbs group listed on the bulletin board. The group is definitely getting a little big for anyone's kitchen. It may still be worth all getting together monday night and then deciding how to split up (by location, week vs. weekend meetings, or food type).
Hi!
I'm interested in finding out about the planned group(s). Can I be added to the list for the 15th?
Thanks!

Sounds like there is a ton of interest in a Boston area supper club- seems to make sense to have everyone meet up on Monday then split into 2- maybe even 3 smaller groups according to food/location/time preferences as someone else suggested. Any other thoughts?

Hello! I am also interested in joining you on Monday! Never been to Green Street. I think spliting into smaller groups is a great idea. Maybe by location, North Shore, South Shore etc.
Look forward to meeting you all!

I plan to attend the Monday organizational meeting as well. Sounds like fun. By the way, I live in Cambridge. Mary

I see that I just missed an organizational meeting on Monday night. The group looks a little big but if you split up you might need another. Or, if someone drops out, let me know.
I have a Monday night commitment but am free evenings otherwise.
Thanks, Cathy
We had a dinner meeting on the 15th and decided to get together as a large group in a month or so to do some actual cooking, at that time we can see how many people show and if we need to break it down. Once the date and place are arranged we'll post a message here to let everyone know the plans.
