Supper club in Gurnee, IL

My husband and I just moved up to the suburbs from Chicago and would like to meet a group of people in our area who enjoy good food. I grew up in Gurnee but have been away since college.

Another reader and I met in early September to discuss forming a club in our area (Libertyville/Lake Bluff), but have stalled since only the two of us were interested. I'm wondering if you've had any luck in recruiting other members, or if you'd be interested in getting started with the two of us.

My husband and I live in Prairie Crossing (in Grayslake) and would also be interested in possibly joining a group. We got inspired after our cooking class/bicycling tour in Italy. We had such fun cooking with others there that we thought it would be fun to have that chance closer to home! I travel alot for work but I'd do my best to participate!

Right now my schedule has been kind of crazy too, but if we could all figure out somewhere and some time to meet, I think we could try to initiate a supper club in the area. My husband and I are trying to cook more and make our kitchen more user-friendly, but we always enjoy cooking for more people than just us. Maybe we could all figure out the best way to communicate with each other and then come up with how we want to organize this thing.
