Gaithersburg, MD Supper Club

Anyone interested in forming a Gaithersburg, MD supper club? I love to cook (and eat) although my prep and cook time is limited because I have a demanding 2 year old always underfoot. Favorite cookbooks are How to Cook Without a Book, Barefoot Contessa, 30 Minute Meals (vol 1 & 2), Bread Machine Magic.

I live in Germantown and would be interested in joining a local group. I love to cook, eat, and socialize too. I would like to find more "quick and easy" recipes to add to my collection.

I live in Bethesda and would love to join a cooking club. I have enjoyed cooking and eating all types of foods for many years. If people are really interested in doing this, I would help to organize this.

Since we haven't heard from Lisa, I presume she does not have a club established. So, I will take the lead. I have to look at the rules to see how this works. I gather from my quick glance that the group decides on a place to get together (could be rotating homes or one permanent place?) and each person brings a pot luck dish. I want to see if it has to be from Cooking Light, or if we pick healthy dishes from any source. I also want to see if we pick a theme. Further, I want to see if we assign cataegories or pre-plan what we're bringing. So,what I'm saying is that I need to read, but please hang in there and think about others you may know who would want to do this.

The internet page that has the type of basic info that I'm looking for is only open to subscribers and AOL members. I don't have an issue with me nor am I an AOL user, so do any of you have access to that page? If not, I will get my latest issue at home tonight and go into the site.
