OMG!!! I cant believe how much Passionate Vegetarian speaks directly to me.

I believe, Maureen, you even told me "it has kwormann written all over it" last year at this time. I am amazed at how well you know me. She lives the kind of life I dream of and dreams up recipes I couldnt have even imagined!

Is it literatue, is it a cookbook...I say its both. I can invision each dish as I read about it. She makes the ingredients dance off of the page, several of them joining up with unlikely partners to waltz to amazing completion.

For the first time in my life, I am happy no pictures are included. Actual visions would ruin the pleasure I am taking in pulling her words off the page and putting them into the "picture-book" in my brain.

In closing, in case you hadn't figured this out, you two have another convert.....

I haven't mentioned it yet, but I'm a big fan of this book. While in Florida, my mom and I made the Kung Pao Tofu. Yummy! The accompanying tofu marinade with the cornstarch was interesting - made the tofu pillow! And then, with leftovers, my mom made dumplings.

Yum!

I need to work on this cookbook more, despite loving it I actually haven't made too many recipes from it.

Kim, that was truly beautiful! I think the author would be tickled plumb to death to hear someone say something wonderful like that about her creation.

I am so glad to hear you love this book Kim. You write as wonderfully as CD does!
Now I adore this book-I read it all the time ...but I have not made anything from it! The recipes just look daunting to me-alot of ingredients and time. Not too fancy or anything like that-i need to get cooking out of this tome. i think alot of the recipes are fall ones for me. What I love abput this book is her passion and heartfelt emotions-great reading if nothing else (but her recipes always great reviews!)

Maybe you guys know this already, but she has an interesting website at www.passionatevegetarian.com.

I'm a big fan, too, and enjoy reading her cookbooks as books! (You know, nightstand books for sweet dreams! :)
