I think what might be helpful is to get together for dinner at a resauraunt and "iron" out the logistics of our supper club. I have a felxible schedule and can get together most evenings after 6:00 or on the weekends. Maybe we could do dinner in either Amesbury or Newburyport...any suggestions?

I have been to scandia...I liked it...My husband did not. FYI- they do not have a liquor license...it is BYOB.

O.K....sounds like we have somewhat of a plan. I love Flatbread and it is very casual...I am not sure of the palce in Newburyport. I am not sure my husband is interested, but we will see. What nights are good during the week of the 15th?

I'm already in a supper club in a different part of Mass., so that's not why I'm posting. The reason I'm posting is that I'm wondering if any of you are familiar with any of the "klatches". It's when someone from the board offers to have other BBers over to her/his house; it's a potluck sort of thing. Anyhow, slknight is hosting one in Kennebunk, Maine on Oct. 4th, and some of us who are going have met at other klatches before----not that we won't be happy to see each other again, but it might be nice to meet some new folks from the board too, and you're already so far north in Massachusetts, that it might not be unreasonable of you to come up to Maine that weekend? If you're interested in posting on the food board, it's a good way to get to know some of the frequent posters. Maybe you're not into that at all, and just wanted to join a supperclub and I'm sticking my nose in where it's not wanted----sorry if that's the case. If you ARE interested however, you can find out more about it by going to the "Other Stuff" board and do a search for "New England Klatch"---there are a couple of threads about it. Good luck with your new club, I really enjoy the one I joined last year! Katie

Just thought of something real quick that will toss a small wrench in our plans...I think Flatbreads is closed on Mondays, unless they're open today for the holiday. Actually, I'm positive of this, they've always been closed on Mondays. Is there a backup location?
