Cooking/Supper Club in Green Bay, Wisconsin!!!

I am interested as well! I just saw a show on the food channel on the cooking/supper clubs and was amazed to see the post about forming one in Green Bay. We are located on the East side/Bellevue area.

I'm guessing since we all posted within a day (or hours) of each other that we must of all watched the same episode (Saturday - Sept. 17th). This original thread was started over two years ago, so I'm not sure the origin poster is still interested. I've tried contacting her, but I ahve received no reply (though it's only been a day). Is anyone interested in starting from square one and putting something together or should find out more info from each other?

I am not sure how to get started but I think we should just jump in and try! I like to cook and bake, and get away from the family for a few hours. Should we meet somewhere public and set something up? I am new at the whole blog posting thing also so I have no idea if I am doing this right! Hope to start cooking soon!

I have had two e-mails from interested parties and am waiting for the rest who posted to answer back or others who have looked and want to e-mail me directly. I will e-mail everyone and we can figure out what we want to do and when. We will be waiting to have cooking fun!

We have set a date to meet for the first time. It will be Tues. Oct. 18th, 2005 6 pm at the Olive Garden in Geen Bay, WI. All are welcome but if you have not responded by now and wish to attend please e-mail me at dlucht@centurytel.net . This way we will know how big of a table to get!

Hi,

The cooking light webpage flagged me that you responded to the thread about a cooking club in GB. Yes, I am in an active club. We currently have 6members that mostly reside in northeast WI (all women, age range late 20's-mid 40's). We try to meet once a month if possible, though it seems lately it has been more like every other month (so hard to coordinate schedules!) We all take turns hosting and typically the hostess will decide the theme/menu and gather recipes and ingredients. Once we gather the hostess passes out copies of each recipe and then we cook together and eat together. We would be open to having you join us if you are interested. Hi--I contacted the other members of the group and we are definitely open to adding another member or two. As a side note, I never heard back from "stellmas" after I posted my reply on 9/14/07, so our group still stands at 5 or 6 members to date.

Anyway, our next cooking club get together will be Sun 10/21, time TBD. It will actually be held in Sheboygan (currently all of our members live in GB, except for our 1 Sheboygan member and it is her turn to host). You are welcome to meet us all at her house on the 21st if you are available. If not, we could always invite you to the next meeting.
