I was reading a post about favorite PC products. I am looking for gifts for a wedding gift..just curious what makes the garlic press such a hot item. I haven't seen the PC press and saw rave reviews of it and was curious.
thanks :)

I have one and like the sturdiness of it. I can pop a whole clove in without peeling and the press doesn't even flinch. I went through three other presses before I discovered this one.

This is the PC garlic press:

I have one, and I love it. But I've never owned any other garlic press, so I don't have anything to compare it to. You can put in unpeeled cloves of garlic, and the minced garlic comes out leaving the peel behind. You can use the scraper side of the little plastic tool that comes with it to scrape off garlic that's come through the press and the stick end to dig out the leftover peel without having to use your fingers. It's very easy to use, and when it's all said and done, I just toss the whole mess into the dishwasher for easy clean up. :)

I have an older version of the PC garlic press, and it's great! You don't have to remove the peel (although I think you get more garlic if you do), it's sturdy enough to easily push the garlic through, and it's easy to clean. Basically, it works the way it's supposed to.

I got the PC garlic press after owning others, and reading raves.

Here's what I like, in no particular order:

it's comfortable to hold
you can fit a lot into the 'hopper' to be squashed
you don't need to peel the garlic first
it is very efficient
easy to clean

Great present!
