Can you refreeze fish?

I just bought some cod fillets from trader joes and they are already frozen, but to make the recipe i want to make, i need to thaw the fish, we won't eat it all in one meal so I'm wondering, Can you refreeze fish?

No I believe once seafood is frozen and thaws you cannot refreeze raw

If you COOK the fish in your recipe and then freeze it you will be ok. You should not refreeze it when it is still raw. same is true for all meat/chicken items.

Does that mean that you can refreeze meats and chicken that has been cooked?

Yes, once you have cooked meat it can be frozen but it will not keep as long as raw meat.
