I heard he collapsed while filming his TV series. He was only 54 and had a daughter who turned 5 yesterday. :(

I heard this on the news this morning and was very sad. He was so young!

I wonder if this will this be the end of Clifford, the big red dog? :(

I was just reading that on Yahoo. Not only John Ritter, but Johnny Cash as well. So sad. I grew up watching John Ritter and just loved him to pieces, what an amusing man. And Johnny Cash, what a voice!

I don't know if it's because I grew up watching Three's Company, or because he was so young, because I lost my dad as a young girl, or because of the emotions of yesterday (or maybe a combination of everything!) but I've been feeling really sad about this all morning.

Life seems unfair sometimes.

This makes me very sad, too. I grew up watching Three's Company after school.
He was to young to die. :(

I just *love* his new TV show, 8 Simple Rules. Won't be the same without him at all.

Kim,
From the PBS website on Clifford series...
Recognize the voice of Clifford the Big Red Dog? You probably know him best from his starring role on Three's Company, but John Ritter is a veteran stage, film, and television actor. John grew up in Los Angeles, where he went to Hollywood High School and later graduated from the University of Southern California. And Clifford? Well, of course you know who Clifford is! He's BIG, he's RED, and he's a great friend. He always stands up for what he thinks is right. Though Clifford's head is sometimes in the clouds (literally!), his four paws are planted firmly on the ground. Clifford's best friend on the show is Emily Elizabeth.

One of my professors used to be married to John Ritter's cousin and passed around a picture this morning. He had known him fairly well and said he was a great guy in person as well :)
