View Full Version : Supper club in Reno, NV?
Wondering if anyone in Reno, NV has a supper club or would be interested in starting one?:)
I'd be interested! I gave up hope of ever finding another Renoite, so I posted to the North Tahoe thread as well. You may be interested in that group, or perhaps we could break off and start our own if there are at least a couple of other people in the Truckee Meadows.
Hey, sounds good! Let's wait for a little while and see if we get any other responses. If not, I'll check out the North Tahoe thread too. We'll talk again soon.

Hi- My husband and I are moving to Reno (from Albany, NY), and we are also interested in a supper club. I hope it's going to happen!
Oh, yay! Supper clubbers in Reno! Would you all like to schedule a time to have coffee and talk about what kind of format we'd like to have? Or wait a bit longer to see if anyone else posts?

I'm interested in a Reno Supper Club. Let's start planning!
It sounds like there's enough interest to proceed. Shall we pick a place to meet and discuss preliminaries?
Now that the holidays are over...any interest?

I love good food and great conversation....anyone for a Supper Club in Reno/Sparks??
I'd love to -- I've been hoping to start a supper club ever since I moved from Seattle and left my old one.

So let's get this going! Can someone suggest a good place to meet? (Being relatively new Reno, I'm not too familiar with the area yet.) And what time would be good? Would a Sunday afternoon work, maybe at a coffee shop or someplace like that? Or a weekday evening?
I'm pretty flexible. I work in Carson City, so a weekday evening meetup would work best for me after 6pm. Weekends are fine too, except for Saturday mornings. Where does everyone live? Perhaps we can find a mutually convenient location that way. I live in SW Reno.

I've been out of town, ladies...OK, so I live in NE Sparks...Wingfield. Week nights are insane for me, but weekends are usually OK. I work from home, so during the day is good too. Those of you with daytime jobs might prefer the weekends. Let's plan a time.

I live and work in NW Reno. Given that I work full-time, I would prefer a weekend meeting, but after 6 on weekdays would also be fine. It looks like we live all around the Reno area, so there's no obvious area to meet. Any ideas on a central place to meet? Would anyone be up for meeting this weekend? Maybe on Sunday?

I am available this Sunday afternoon....it's Superbowl, but who cares about that!!
Sounds good. What about Java Jungle downtown? I'd suggest 2pm.

OK, it sounds like we have at least 4 for Sunday (including my husband). The Java Jungle at 2 pm will work fine for us. How are we going to recognize each other?? Should we wait outside the door (unless it's too cold)?

OK...my husband will come too. Where is Java Jungle? We aren't coffee people. I have an idea...how about if we each bring a copy of Cooking Light to help recognize each other. ~Marci
Java Jungle is on First Street near Arlington. Across the river from Wingfield Park.
I'll bring my Cooking Light and my knitting so you'll recognize me. See you then!
