ISO grilling kit

My son's birthday is this weekend. He's just recently requested a "grilling kit". I saw some other guy who had one of these things. It's a case (almost a suitcase look) that has tongs, flipper, long fork, etc. in it. I think it's a manly thing. ;-)

Since this is headed toward the end of September, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to find one of these things in most stores. Have any of you seen one of these kits recently?? I'm going to be doing a phone search of the local stores, but I'm hoping to get suggestions of places I hadn't already thought to check.

Yep! I just bought one over the weekend as a door prize for our quarterly neighborhood association meeting. If you have a Barbecues Galore store near you, that's where I got it. And it was a great deal - a really nice stainless set with carrying case for $29.

Strike that. I just checked their website, and they have stores in N. Carolina but not S. Carolina. :( Sorry.

You might also try Home Depot, Lowe's, or any of the warehouse club stores, like Sam's and Costco. It's still a bit early here for BBQ tools to be on their way out, but then again, it's Texas. ;)

Williams-Sonoma has a nice set, but I don't think it comes in a carrying case

I would also try Linens 'N Things and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Thanks for the suggestions. I called Lowe's first and found they actually have them in their Christmas gift aisle!! If I don't like what they have, BB&B and Home Depot are both just down the road from Lowe's. I wish my son had made the suggestion just a couple of days earlier..I was in all three of those stores last Friday!!!! :D

I also order from Barbeques Galore on their website since it's too far for me to drive there. We also bought a gas grill from them about 10 years ago and the DSs took it to school with them (they live in a house) and it's still going strong!
