review: lindrusso's marinara + greysangel's baked ziti

ummm...wow! Can we say Y U M M Y ! ? ! ?

I finally got around to trying these recipes out for my friends and cutie hubby pie.

Coming home to a crock pot full of marinara just made the whole house smell oh so good....

All my 6 dinner guests claimed it was the best sauce they had ever tasted from scratch and the baked ziti...wow!

I doubled everything in greysangel's recipe except for the sour cream. I used low fat sour cream and part skim mozzarella, and used regular provolone and parmesan cheeses. Added minced garlic and onion to the lean ground beef.

AND I tricked cutie patootie hubby and said there wasn't sour cream at first (since he is a self proclaimed sour cream hater)...but he had to admit that he couldn't even taste it after I told him it was in there! "Mebbe I do like sour cream then?!" (Opens the flood gates open for some new recipes hehehe yay)

Everyone tore it apart! There was a mutual proclaimation that this is what home cooking tastes like!

Glad you all liked the sauce. :) Now I have to go hunt down JeAnne's baked ziti recipe..... :)
