Yes. Spray the inside of a ziploc drop the dough in, suck the air out and seal it up. When you're ready to use it put it in the fridge the night before. Take it out to warm up to room temp 1-2 hours prior to using it. You might want to try shaping the dough into the crust before freezing it as a time saver. It can seem to take forever for the dough to warm up enough to shape it. I wouldn't freeze for more than say 3 months.

Kim,
Thank you so much! And by the way, I'm using your whole wheat pizza dough recipe http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

You took my question this is what I got online to ask!!! I made pizza from scratch for the first time this weekend and I had way too much dough - but I was afraid it would go to waste if I didn't cook it. So - we have cold pizza in the fridge - but it was good. But, next time - I'll freeze it.

Kim, could you please re-post your whole wheat pizza dough recipe. I tried doing a search, but was unable to find it. Thanks a million!

Another option for extra pizza dough (although it does freeze well) is to use it to make an Italian loaf, focaccia, or rolls, then freeze that to use with another meal. I use the same dough recipe for all of these and it is very little work to make a double batch.

I belive this is the one I posted before:
Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
1 ½ tsp active dry yeast
1 ¼ cups warm water (105 - 110 http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 ½ - 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp salt
I normally just do this in my bread machine. I shape it by hand (is very nice to work with - if its resistent let it rest for 10-15 minutes) and I don't let it rise as 2nd time but go ahead and top and bake. Well it probably gets some rise time as I get my act together but not more than 10-15 minutes.
