I guess it's a yes or no and if yes, what is it?
My new favorite that I've noticed using a lot the last several months is Balsamic vinegar. I never realized how versatile it can be!

I'm very into Japanese cooking right now, so Seasoned Rice Vinegar is my favorite right now...

Mustard. All kinds.
No, horseradish. As hot as you can get it. And wasabi, too.
How about the best of both worlds? Horseradish mustard. :)

I've got some that you'd love. Brought in from Buffalo. A jar is yours, whenever I see you next. :D
I love any and all condiments. At least, I think I do.

I'm with you, Wallycat. I LOVE balsamic vinegar. I read recently that the rise in popularity is because most of what you buy is just cheap vinegar with lots of sugar in it (dam$, I hate it when they cheat us like that  ). Guess you have to really look for the good stuff.

Salsa! :D
With mustard (pretty much any flavor) running a close second.

So many to choose from!
I've been stuck on this Bronco Bob's Raspberry Chipotle sauce lately. Might be my current favorite. Darn good.
I do love jam too, especially the homemade kind. Is that a condiment?
And horseradish.
But there is absolutely nothing like fresh guacamole.

Hey, I've got a bottle of this in my pantry. My parents picked it up for me on one of their trips because they know I like chipotle. But I'm not a big raspberry fan. What do you do with this?
I think my favorite might be salsa.
My dad and I are hot sauce fanatics. :D We have a multi-bottle supply of Szechuan hot sauce in my fridge--a cheap American store-brand, but we're addicted. I'm also quite fond of a sherry rum peppers one that we have to import from Bermuda. But only my father is brave enough for the true poison: Dave's Insanity, a sauce so potent that the label specifically warns against using more than one drop at a time.

BBQ sauce and guacamole. Not together, though!:D

I use Chinese chili-garlic sauce and the adobo sauce from my chipotles a lot more than I would have expected to! Love 'em both.

Ketchup. All the fanciest dijon ketchups, btw.

Hmmmm...my first thought was Dijon mustard. But I use balsamic vinegar more often.
Of course the two together are just divine. :)

I'm also a huge fan of the raspberry-chipolte sauce, but the only thing I've ever done with it is pour some over a brick of rf cream cheese for a quick appetizer (soooo yummy served with crackers). I would also like some more suggestions for using this bottled sauce. Perhaps grilled chicken? Salad dressing might be good - maybe try mixing some with some lf mayo?

The ever sophisticated ketchup with Tapatio or Texas Pete hot sauce running a close second.
Though I can drink Worchester sauce straight from the bottle. Don't really like it on stuff, though.

After 33 years of HATING mustard and living the last 10 with a a mustard fanatic, I've been coming around and using the yellow condiment where I can. I've taken to some spicy mustards as well as some honey mustards. I save the bright yellow stuff for dogs.

Great BNL quote!!
They have pre-wrapped sausages, but they don't have pre-wrapped bacon. Can you blame 'em? Yeah!

MAYONNAISE!!!!! Although I don't use it like I used to, I still remember when my metabolism would allow me to eat mayonnaise sandwiches!! :D :D
I love wasabi - in dipping sauces, salad dressing, and - now that the weather is getting colder - mashed potatoes... yum! :)

Do you make your own? I love my home made mayo...it's so much better than the store bought ones.
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup oil
Combine all ingredients excpet the oil in the bowl of a food processor. Blend well and drizzle oil in slowly through feed tube.
It is so wonderful!!!

I'm with the mustard crowd--last winter my mother bought me a 12-pack mustard sampler from this place: www.mustardmuseum.com You mustard lovers must check it out--the guy who runs it is an ex-attorney and is....uh....passionate about mustard. The winter catalogue last year was an extended take-off on musicals--the cover with him, dressed as Julie Andrews as a nun, and the title was "The Sound of Mustard." You get the idea. Anyway, they have some *great* stuff--I highly recommend the Slim & Nunne sweethot and the Arran herb mustard (which is whole mustard seeds instead of the smooth yellow paste you expect). Both are extraordinary with Lindrusso's spinach balls.
I also like wasabi--so of course, the lime wasabi mustard from Mustard Museum is a current fave too.

I saw you had posted and it actually ran through my mind that you might ask if BEANS counted as a condiment. ;) :p
I've tried it before and rememer liking it, but I find it very interesting that Koreans eat it with every meal. I can't imagine eating anything at every meal - much less something spicy.

I actually used to eat even more of it than I do now. I used to say that the only thing I didn't eat kimchi with was ice cream. ;) Now I tend to omit it when I cook Italian dishes. But it's great with Tex-Mex!

Salsa, of my own making or TJ's Roasted Garlic- which I sometimes buy 3 or 4 jars of at a time!

I would have to say mustard, because it is so versatile, makes just about anything taste better, and has zero points. Second would be seasoned rice vinegar or soy sauce.

I have made my own--used the recipe from THE GIFT OF SOUTHERN COOKING. I think the recipe is the same or similar to yours. Then I used the homemade mayonnaise and roasted red peppers to make the best pimento cheese I have ever had. :p :p

Sorry it took me a while to get back to this! Bronco Bobs raspberry chipotle sauce...
I use it for lots of things. It's great on pork. Have slathered it over chops and tenderloins before grilling. It's marvelous as a condiment in turkey sandwiches. Or as a Bruschetta topping with smoked cheese. I've done chicken breasts stuffed with blue cheese and steamed spinach then topped them with the sauce. before baking. I even dip my egg rolls in it. Or try it on a burger with grilled onions and cheese.
Very flavorful stuff.
