I have a recipe that calls for dried cranberries, but I want to use fresh cranberries. Does anyone know the conversion or how I adapt the recipe?

Fresh cranberries would probably improve the flavor of your recipe. You might want to use just a little less liquid as none will go toward rehydrating the cranberries. The cranberries will also be much bigger after cooking, so if it is cooked, you might cut them in half. Also, dried cranberries most always have sugar added so a little extra sugar may be a good idea unless you love the tart natural flavor http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I had a recipe from Nestle. It called for dried cranberries. I only had fresh on hand and wanted to substitute. I phoned them and was told not to do so. The fresh cranberries have a much higher liquid ratio and they could not tell me how to convert the recipe.????
