CT- Lower CT River -interest in a club?

Sticking my toe in water to see if anyone in this area is out there and would like to talk about forming some sort of Supper Club. I live in Essex with my husband and 11 yr old son. Enjoy Cooking Light and would love to meet others with an interest in sharing food and experiences.

I could possibly be interested even though I live in East Hampton. Essex is only a 30 minute drive for me. I also replied tonight to a Central CT club post. I once before tried joining a CL supper club but the members were spread out from new haven to Canton and it was just too much.

I had given up hope of hearing from anyone. Glad you replied. I did a search a week ago and emailed a woman in Essex who had been looking into starting a club a year ago, but I never heard back. As you can see, not much response, but this is not big city area - thank goodness.

If you'd like to see what happens with the Central club, that's fine. or if you'd like to meet, that works for me too. Maybe we can start small and expand. With the holidays coming, scheduling activiites gets harder, so we need to take that into account.

we're about 50 mins (+ or -)apart - that could pose some problems especially since I95 is often jammed up. But it's not impossible, although you may have better luck finding people closer since you are in a higher population area than out this way. Stay in touch, I'd like to find enough to start a small group at least.

Just read your post on the supper club bulletin board and am interested in finding out some details...have you had many responses? I live in RI, just over the border from CT. I read that you live in Essex, whick is only about 30-40 minutes from me. I'd love to hear any ideas you may have about starting a club...and may have a friend in Mystic who is also interested. I'm in Sandy Hook, CT, about 1/2 hour from West Haven, and I'd love to be part of a supper club in the area. Let me know if something gets started.
