Hello everyone - I have a suggestion for you all to try in your own Supper Clubs...

I work in Breast Cancer Research which is why I am
putting this idea out there for you guys to "chew on". Would you be interested in hosting a dinner entitled "Cook for the Cure"? KitchenAid is sponsoring this fundraising event. Below is the letter from KitchenAid to give you an idea of what it's all about. If you have any questions, you can direct them to me at beyeramanda@yahoo.com or browse the KitchenAid website (www.kitchenaid.com) to get the specifics. Since October is Breast Cancer
Awareness month, it's a good time to think about doing this.

Thanks!
Amanda

Dear Friend,

Thank you for supporting Cook for the Cure, a fundraising initiative
sponsered by KitchenAid to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation. We are pleased to provide you with this Home Dinner
Party Kit, which includes some simple and useful tools to help you
turn any entertaining event into a gathering with a purpose.

The Cook for the Cure program was created to give those with a
passion for cooking a way to support the fight against breast
cancer. Since the inception of Cook for the Cure in June 2001,
KitchenAif has donated over $350,000 for the Foundation through
special prodcut offers, fundraising cooking classes, and events with
chefs and cookbook authors.

Now, with the addition of our Home Dinner Party Program, raising
money for the cause can come right from your own kitchen.

Plan to host your party (or parties) in October (National Breast
Cancer Awareness Month), through the end of the year and beyond. As
host, you will suggest how much your guests should donate - whether
your meal is an Autumn harvest party, festive holiday meal, fireside
supper, barbecue, or other entertaining opportunity.

In addition, this year marks the Komen Foundation's 20th anniversary
as a global leader in the fight to eradicate breast cancer as a life-
threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening, and
treatment. Use this opportunity to host a party in the Foundation's
honor, or to celebrate survivorship. What started out as a grass-
roots initiative has become a passionate crusade for millions; by
participating in Cook for the Cure, you're showing your support for
this important cause.

To help you get started we have included customizable invitations,
along with menu suggestions and recipes from celebrity chefs Bobby
Flay and Sara Moulton, who have already held fundraising dinners in
their homes.

At the end of your party, collect your guests' donations and use the
official donation envelope provided by the foundation to make your
contribution to the cause.

Again, we thank you for your support and your participation in this
program.

Sincerely,

YOUR FRIENDS AT KITCHENAID
