Check him out...I do love his cooking style, and he's very casual, friendly and laid-back.

Everyone likes him so much and I've still never seen his show! I'll definitely be tuning in......

I've been watching his PBS shows, and I really like his style, knowledge and presentation. Did you check out his website? Huge shopping section!

I love him too Deanna. I have been watching him on PBS but now I will look for the Food Network lineup in my area.

Does anyone know if any BBers have been to his store?
I don't watch Food Network, but isn't that the guy who owns Tra Vigne? Lori went there last year when she was in California on vacation.
Is Napa Style also a store? (as you can see, I'm somewhat behind the times here.)

The Food Network gig is new - but he's been on PBS for quite a while I think. Anyhow, yes, he has a store in St. Helena - right across the highway from the restaurant.
Thanks, Canice. I tend to avoid Highway 29, but St. Helena's pretty small, so I could probably find it if I were up there.
I've ordered from his catalogue (a nifty wine basket) and enjoy receiving it. Bet the store is neat.

I sometimes pop over to the foodtv message boards...the fan boards. He reads the fan boards and actually posts and responds to people. Check out the "30 minute meals" board...someone posted about how much they liked him (I think her name is DC chick) and he wrote back to her.

Gail,
Yes he owns Tra Vigne. We went there several years ago and really enjoyed it. The store was at the restaurant, I don't know if that's still the case. They sell his garlic olive oil at our local Costco in a huge bottle. I haven't been to the Wine Country for a long time, this makes me want to go back soon!

I've been watching him for quite a while now and enjoy his shows a lot. Recently, I received a catalog for Napa Style and am still drooling. I have no idea why I got this but am glad I did.

Just caught his show on FoodTV today (first time I've seen it anywhere), or heard of him. The episode was Polenta Party, and although I'm not a big fan of polenta, I really liked him and his easy style. Off to search for more recipes from him... :)

I haven't seen him yet so I went to Food Network's website. Here's what it says about an upcoming show:
Chocolate by Moonlight Party
Moonlight and chocolate - what could be more romantic? Michael makes an all chocolate supper for two under the stars. Every course has chocolate in it: the salad, the pasta, the entrée, and of course, the dessert!
He certainly knows the way to a girls heart! :D
Not sure about the salad with chocolate though.
