I was out at an Italian restaurant the other day where they served this creamy raspberry dressing as their house. Does anyone have any type of recipe for a creamy raspberry dressing? I loved it and would love to try to make it, however, I have not tried dressings before. Thanks for the help!

I found this recipe on allrecipes.com

Raspberry Salad Dressing II
Ingredients

1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup raspberries
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons white sugar

Directions
1 In a blender, combine the yogurt, raspberries, vinegar and sugar. Blend until smooth and refrigerate until chilled.

I think I might try this one, unless somebody else has any other suggestions, or maybe any tips in general on making salad dressing.

i'd say go for it... i don't really like sweet salad dressings, or i would try to be of more help. :) since that recipe looks rather fool-proof (no oil to emulsify, etc) i would imagine it would be successful. were there any herbs in the dressing you had? i think a little bit of lemon juice and maybe mint or basil with the raspberries would be good. i am a big fan of adding fresh herbs to everything. Altho i don't think i would add them in the blender.. it might turn it into a funky brown concoction. maybe loosely chop and hand mix into the dressing at the end. i'd be curious to know how you like the recipe. my sister and dad LOVE sweet salad dressing, could be an interesting starting off point :)
good luck!

I will let you know. I also like your idea about the basil. . .. I don't remember anything like that being in there, but I am going to give it a try. The restaurant served it with a basic house salad, with white asparagus (yummmmmy) and cherry tomatoes. I think that this was a great combo, so if it works out, you might try it with those veggies:)
