Is there an easy way to know that someone else has replied to a post that you replied to similar to the email notification if you are the original poster? There are times I'm checking several topics and it would be easier if we could get a message that the topic we replied to has new posters

Sorry this is so wordy.

Mitchdoggy,

When you post a new topic, at the bottom under Options you can check "E-Mail Notification". Whenever anyone replies to your post, you will be notified by e-mail. I don't know how you would know if it is just a topic you replied to. I always just have to keep checking back and see if it has gone up to the top.

Maybe someone else can shed some light on this...

Peggy

I understand what you are saying, and I don't think anything like this exists. Are you referring to a post that you didn't create, just replied to at one point? I think Cl should make a reply to these also, that way, if it is something you posted to, (are interested in), you will see follow-ups.

I will sometimes do a search for my name under User Name and limit the date to the last 5 days or something (since I am an embarrasingly profuse poster). This doesn't tell you if someone has posted on that thread since but at least you can check all your most recent posts more easily (and, if you're me you don't have to remember all the thousands of posts you mouthed off in http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif).

Actually, I just noticed that you can limit the search to "since yesterday." That should limit it to only those posts that have been replied to since yesterday: so if the last time you posted was yesterday, it should only include those threads you posted to that someone has posted to since (make sense?).
