Can I freeze an already-baked pie?

I made a ton of apple stuff over the weekend, and among those things was some pie. I only baked one pie, but was thinking that maybe I could freeze it. My thought is to cut it into slices and freeze, then wrap it up.

How would I defrost this? Microwave? Regular oven? What do you think?

I've never frozen a pie, but a friend of mine does quite frequently. She wraps the already baked pie really well in layers of plastic and foil. When she wants the pie, she thaws it at room temp for awhile before popping it in the oven to finish the thawing and freshen. They always taste fine to me.

I freeze fruit pies and don't unthaw them before cooking. I don't freeze pies like pumpkin or custard pies.
