I know that some of you grind your own flour so I wondered if anyone flakes their own oats.
I was surfing to see what was out there and cannot believe the price differences.
If anyone flakes their own oats and uses or used a Marga brand, can you please comment...good, bad, never again???
Thanks in advance..

bumping....sorry, don't know the answer, but I'm sure someone does!
I grind my own flour and can do a really coarse grind - sort of like steel cut oats. The coarseness of the grind is the only setting I have on my grinder. I assume flaked oats are something different? Are they the same as rolled oats? Sorry I'm not much help.

My friend has an oat roller that I have borrowed a few times and fresh oats are much better.
It's a Marga Oat Flaker (http://www.kitchenkneads.com/index.php?module=store_listings&action=view_listing&listing=63) from kitchenkneads.com, I highly recommend buying oat groats and rolling/flaking them fresh.
