Hi all! Just discovered this board while I was searching for a recipe that I had lost... French toast souffle... Anyway, I not only found that but I also found some other great ideas for my dh's super bowl breakfast... (It comes on at 8 am here, too early for hot wings. lol). Looks like a great board! Info on me: I'm a SAHM to two girls ages 4 years and 15 months. My dh is in the US Navy and we are currently living in Japan. Well, thanks again for the help.

Welcome, April. How long are you going to be in Japan? Do you know?

Thanks for all of the replies... I haven't learned much Japanese yet... Just some of the basics, mostly for shopping. I don't eat out much here. I try to try something new about once a month, when I have my Mommy's day out with a friend. They still have the plastic displays of food in the windows. We are in a heavy military area, so a lot of restraunts have menus in English. I like it here okay. We've been here a year and I miss some of things in the states. (products I recognize in the grocery store, restraunts, etc..) Can't wait to go back for vacation this summer. We have two more years here. We are trying to get in some sightseeing. I don't venture too far from home without dh. Two kids, under 5, can be tough to handle in a crowd. Will probably do more once the oldest starts school next fall.

Welcome! How do you like living in Japan? I lived in Singapore for 2 years but never made it to Japan as I was either pregnant or had an infant. My DH was there quite a bit and has some great photos. Are you learning Japanese? Do you eat out much? Do they still have the plastic displays of food in the windows of the restaurants? The food in Singapore was outstanding!
