I've made the one with instant tea, Tang, lemonade, cloves and cinnamon for years. I was just looking for something a little different. Thinking of giving it for Christmas gifts with mugs.

Hmmm . . . I've never made a tea mix. I will be curious to see what replies you get. I usually just enjoy some nice teas in bags (cinnamon, cranberry, peppermint, etc.). A few years ago my grocery store carried some special holiday teas from Celestial Seasonings - Sugar Plum, Nutcracker, stuff like that . . . quite festive and a tasty change from the usual teas I enjoy at the holidays.

What is instant tea? Although I have never made my own tea from scratch, deep in the middle of winter (you know the time of year when cinnamon sticks boiling on top of your wood burning stove make the whole house smell amazing--and that would be my parents' home since i live in an apartment :) ), I like to make the cardamon cinnamon from republic of tea and then doctor it with mulling spices, honey and the flavored cinnamon syrup they use in coffee shops. Does that help?
