Traveling with Sweets

I want to make some desserts to bring out to my brother and SIL when we fly out to Vegas for Thanksgiving. Do you think I'll have any problem with security? I plan to put them in a carry on and I just had the awful thought that security might not let them through. I'm hoping this is a crazy thought but you never know nowadays. Thanks! I really want to bring some yummy stuff out there with me.:)

You won't have a problem at all - I brought cannoli back with me from Boston, and only a laugh from the security guys!

Yay! Thank goodness! One more question...I assume most desserts will survive a plane ride as long as I wrap them well, etc., right? The altitude won't hurt them, right? (sorry if this is a dumb question...I've never traveled on a plane with desserts before) :o

Ditto - maple syrup and parmesan-peppercorn bread in my carryon bag didn't get a second glance from Detroit to Hartford two weeks ago. I think you'll be fine. :)
